In this few week my journey through the mindful photography has been very inspiring and also educational. Learning how to take care of myself and be kind to myself.
It made me proud to be a Muslim woman wearing the hijab.
When I look at my surroundings I've had the pleasure to be in the moment and observe, what perhaps I haven't paid attention to. More so, it makes me stop and think what it is I'm seeing and what I want to capture for myself and remember in that moment and revive the feelings.
Through the lenses of the camera I captured moments that when I look back make me smile. But in the moment we're a beauty and amazement. Something I don't think I'll have had paid attention to if it wasn't through this course.

Beyond the Veil: A Journey Through Images
My name's Rahima, and I am a Muslimah from Panama who has been residing in the UK for many years. Being part of the project "Beyond the Veil" has been an enriching experience that I am excited to share with you through these images. This project has offered me an opportunity to connect with my surroundings on a deeper level and has inspired me to explore the hidden layers of life through photography.
Through "Beyond the Veil," I aim to share my unique perspective as a Panamanian Muslimah living in the UK. This project has been more than just a collection of images; it's a narrative that bridges cultures and experiences, inviting you to see the world through my eyes.
