I am a homemaker and a devoted wife, also a mother to three young adults and a teenager. Originally from Malaysia, I have been living in the UK for almost three decades. I love reading, exploring the beauty of nature and doing yoga. I also enjoy trying out new activities and developing new skills.
Coming from a country such as Malaysia, where several cultures blend harmoniously, I am always interested in meeting new people from different backgrounds. This photography course has enabled me to do so. I realised that we all have a common ground which is to seek beauty and peace around us.
I used to document my life in England through an online blog, as I find pleasure in both writing and taking pictures. Nowadays, however, I find it easier to share and connect on social media, enabling my loved ones abroad to keep track of my life.
Through my mindful photography course recently I've been able to explore more of my senses. I began to notice more of the details in nature, light, water, shadows, reflections, designs, to my own breathing patterns and taste delights. It's helped me reduce my anxiety and stress, and all overwhelming feelings with life as we do at times. Doing more of what I already love i.e. taking photographs, has allowed me to express more of myself. It has enhanced my feelings of freedom, exploration, sense of belonging and self-worth. Finally, it's made appreciate more of the joy and beauty around me, making me more grateful to God for His endless bounties.
